Security Council Extends UNDOF Mandate

The Security Council unanimously adopted resolution 2257 (2015), renewing until 30 June 2016 the mandate of the United Nations Disengagement Observer Force (UNDOF). The peacekeeping force has been deployed in the Golan Heights since 1974, maintaining the ceasefire between Israeli and Syrian forces.
